I then 'did my own research' (because I am, after all, a science based person at heart) and discovered the complex nature of biotechnology, the vast amount of research supporting all types of biotechnology and the good for humanity that can be achieved through biotechnology. I also discovered most of the people, groups and online pages that I now belong to. It is embarrassing for me (who studied evolutionary biology at uni) that I had taken a view that leaned towards the anti 'GMO' stance because of the anecdotal evidence I had heard (from intelligent 'friends' no less).
But onwards and upwards! I now fight the good fight for science and science-based research, and try also to educate those who are willing to listen and reconsider. That is my tale.😊
